University Centre Tuition Fees

Tuition fees vary depending on the course and mode of study. To support you with your studies you may also be eligible for a range of support including bursaries and scholarships.

Full-time tuition fees

UK students:

Fees for new students starting in 2026

Certificate of Higher Education - £9,790 per year*

Foundation Degree - £9,790 per year*

Honours Degree (Top-Up) - £9,790 per year*

Honours Degree - £9,790 per year*

Masters Degree - £6,000 per year

ProfGCE/PGCE - £9,790 per year*

Higher National Certificate (HNC) - £5,000

*Subject to parliamentary procedure.

You should expect to pay tuition fees for every year in attendance and be aware these fees may increase annually. On the basis of current government guidance any increase is unlikely to exceed the increase in inflation by reference to the Retail Price Index (RPI).

Ways to pay your tuition fees

You can choose to pay your tuition fees up-front or take out a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England.

When you start repaying your loan and how much you pay depends on which repayment plan you’re on. In the UK, there are different plans based on when you started your course and what type of course you studied. Find out which plan you're on, on the government website.

How much do I pay back?

When you start repaying your loan and how much you pay depends on which repayment plan you’re on. Find out more on the government website.

Can my fees change?

What happens if my income reduces?

If your income falls below the yearly threshold, your repayments stop until you start earning over the threshold once again.

Interest on student loans

You pay interest from the time your first payment is made until you pay your loan back in full.

What is an Access and Participation Plan?

Access and participation plans set out how higher education providers will improve equal opportunities for underrepresented groups. Universities and colleges set their own targets working towards the Office for Students national targets and addressing areas where there are specific gaps in equality of opportunity.

They include:

the provider’s ambition for change
what it plans to do to achieve that change
the targets it has set
the investment it will make to deliver the plan.

What fee will I pay?

Tuition fees vary depending on the course and mode of study. In November 2024, the Government removed the freeze on tuition fees and loans for the 2025/26 academic year.

If you are a student studying at Newcastle College University Centre for the first time in 2025, the tuition fee for your course is indicated at the top of this page.

If you are a continuing student, you will continue to pay the same amount you currently pay throughout the duration of your course. For example, if you are in your first year of a three-year degree, you will pay the same amount for the next two years.

You may be eligible to receive a bursary from Newcastle College University Centre to help you with the costs associated with studying a degree.
